However, if you are working with Confidential or Restricted Use information, you need to start from a trusted base by using an operating system that is up-to-date and secure.\u00a0 Please see the Data Protection Standards<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n

The following operating systems are supported by IS&T for use with Confidential<\/em> or Restricted Use<\/em> information. The IT Help Center<\/a> may attempt to assist you with problems even if you are running operating systems no longer supported<\/a> by the vendor; however, as security patches are no longer being provided, Confidential or Restricted Use information is not permitted on these systems without written approval by BU Information Security<\/a>.<\/p>\n
