For example:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1027\" data-end=\"1382\">\n<li data-start=\"1027\" data-end=\"1127\">\n<p data-start=\"1029\" data-end=\"1127\">You receive an email from your doctor (<strong data-start=\"1068\" data-end=\"1088\"><a data-start=\"1070\" data-end=\"1086\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\" href=\"mailto:doctor@yahoo.com\">doctor@yahoo.com<\/a><\/strong>) to your BU inbox (<strong data-start=\"1108\" data-end=\"1123\"><a data-start=\"1110\" data-end=\"1121\" class=\"cursor-pointer\" rel=\"noopener\">user@bu.edu<\/a><\/strong>).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1130\" data-end=\"1194\">\n<p data-start=\"1132\" data-end=\"1194\">You have auto-forwarding set to send to <strong data-start=\"1172\" data-end=\"1191\"><a data-start=\"1174\" data-end=\"1189\" class=\"cursor-pointer\" rel=\"noopener\">user2@gmail.com<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1197\" data-end=\"1378\">\n<p data-start=\"1199\" data-end=\"1378\">Gmail expects the original sender (<strong data-start=\"1234\" data-end=\"1254\"><a data-start=\"1236\" data-end=\"1252\" class=\"\" rel=\"noopener\" href=\"mailto:doctor@yahoo.com\">doctor@yahoo.com<\/a><\/strong>) to match the sender received. Because the forwarded message will appear from <strong data-start=\"1333\" data-end=\"1348\"><a data-start=\"1335\" data-end=\"1346\" class=\"cursor-pointer\" rel=\"noopener\">user@bu.edu<\/a><\/strong>, Gmail will likely drop it.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1385\" data-end=\"1531\"><strong data-start=\"1385\" data-end=\"1404\">Recommendation:<\/strong> Use only one email account to process your mail. Over time, these vendors will increasingly throttle or drop forwarded mail.<\/p>\n<h2 data-start=\"44\" data-end=\"85\">Set Up Forwarding from BU Google Mail<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"87\" data-end=\"124\"><span class=\"relative -mx-px my-[-0.2rem] rounded px-px py-[0.2rem] transition-colors duration-100 ease-in-out\">If you have a BU Google Apps account and want to forward mail from BU Google Mail to an external provider, <em>even a commercial Gmail service<\/em>, use the <strong data-start=\"132\" data-end=\"185\">BU Google Mail Settings \u2192 Forwarding and\u202fPOP\/IMAP<\/strong> interface to do it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"126\" data-end=\"149\"><strong data-start=\"126\" data-end=\"146\">How to access it<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol data-start=\"150\" data-end=\"270\">\n<li data-start=\"150\" data-end=\"192\">\n<p data-start=\"153\" data-end=\"192\"><span class=\"relative -mx-px my-[-0.2rem] rounded px-px py-[0.2rem] transition-colors duration-100 ease-in-out\">Open BU Google Mail and click the <strong data-start=\"34\" data-end=\"49\">\u201cgear\u201d icon<\/strong> in the upper right corner.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"193\" data-end=\"270\">\n<p data-start=\"196\" data-end=\"270\"><span class=\"relative -mx-px my-[-0.2rem] rounded px-px py-[0.2rem] transition-colors duration-100 ease-in-out\">Select <strong data-start=\"7\" data-end=\"19\">Settings<\/strong>, then go to the <strong data-start=\"36\" data-end=\"63\">Forwarding and\u202fPOP\/IMAP<\/strong> tab.
