To gain access to Web Login-protected sites, you must first remove the password from your browser&#8217;s saved password list, using the instructions below.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Mozilla Firefox<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\">\n<h4>Windows<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Click the menu button and choose <strong>Preferences<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Switch to the\u00a0<strong>Security<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Saved Logins&#8230;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>To eliminate all existing saved passwords, click\u00a0 <strong>Remove all<\/strong>.\u00a0 To eliminate specific saved passwords, locate the site within the Site column and click on it once to highlight it in blue. Then click the <strong>Remove<\/strong> button below. You can also remove all saved passwords by clicking the <strong>Remove All<\/strong> button. If you wish, deselect the option to <strong>Remember logins for sites<\/strong>. This will prevent passwords from being saved in the future. In older versions of Firefox, this option is in the Privacy tab instead of Security.<\/p>\n<h4>Mac OS X<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>In the menu bar, open the\u00a0<strong>Firefox menu.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select\u00a0<strong>Preferences.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Switch to the\u00a0<strong>Security<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n<li>Click on\u00a0<strong>Saved Passwords<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>To eliminate all existing saved passwords, click\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Remove all<\/strong>.\u00a0 To eliminate specific saved passwords, click\u00a0<strong>View Saved Passwords<\/strong> and delete just those associated with\u00a0<strong>weblogin.bu.edu<\/strong>.\u00a0 If you wish, deselect the option to\u00a0<strong>Remember passwords<\/strong>. In older versions of Firefox, this option is in the Privacy tab instead of Security.<\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Microsoft Edge<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<p>To delete individual passwords:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span>Select the <strong>three-dot menu icon<\/strong> in the top-right corner<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Select the <strong>Settings<\/strong> option from the dropdown menu.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Profiles tab<\/strong> from the Settings menu in the left column.<\/li>\n<li><span>In the <strong>Profiles<\/strong> tab, click the <strong>Passwords <\/strong>option to view the saved passwords for your <\/span>user profile.<\/li>\n<li><span>Under the <strong>Profiles\/Passwords<\/strong> tab menu, you will find a list of your saved passwords under the <strong>Saved Passwords <\/strong>category.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Select and remove the passwords you would like deleted.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>To delete all saved passwords:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the <strong>Tools <\/strong>menu.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Internet Options.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Content<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Under <strong>AutoComplete<\/strong>, click <strong>Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Delete AutoComplete history&#8230;<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>To prevent AutoComplete in the future, make sure AutoComplete is deselected for <strong>User names and passwords on forms<\/strong>, and\u00a0then click on <strong>OK<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Chrome<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open the\u00a0<strong>Chrome<\/strong> menu using the button on the far right\u00a0of the browser toolbar.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/tech\/files\/2015\/11\/ChromeHamburgerMenuButton.png\" alt=\"Chrome Menu button\" width=\"596\" height=\"141\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-76636\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Choose\u00a0the <strong>Settings<\/strong> menu option (highlighted in blue).<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/tech\/files\/2015\/11\/ChromeSettingsOptionLink.png\" alt=\"Chrome Menu settings option\" width=\"369\" height=\"476\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-76636\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Click\u00a0the <strong>Show advanced\u00a0settings&#8230;<\/strong> link located at the bottom of the page.<\/li>\n<li>In the &#8220;Passwords and forms&#8221;
