To enable TCP\/IP Filtering on Novell Netware (4.x-6.x)<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. At the server console prompt, type LOAD INETCFG and press ENTER<\/li>\n
  2. Select Protocols and press ENTER<\/li>\n
  3. Select TCP\/IP and Press ENTER<\/li>\n
  4. Set Filter Support to ENABLED and press ENTER<\/li>\n
  5. Press ESC until you are back out to the console prompt<\/li>\n
  6. Type reinitialize system at the console prompt<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    To Configure Filters<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. At the server console prompt, type LOAD FILTCFG and press ENTER<\/li>\n
    2. Select Configure TCP\/IP Filters and press ENTER<\/li>\n
    3. From the TCP\/IP Window, select Packet Forwarding Filters and press ENTER\n
        \n
      1. Current Configuration should be<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        i.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Status: Enabled<\/p>\n

        ii.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Action: Deny packets in filter list (Permit Packets not in filter list)<\/p>\n

        iii.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Filters: List of Denied Packets<\/p>\n

        iv.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Exceptions: List of packets always transmitted<\/p>\n

        1. At this window, highlight the selection Filters: List of Denied Packets and press ENTER<\/li>\n
        2. Press INSERT to define a new filter<\/li>\n
        3. Configure as desired with appropriate ports, protocols, subnets, and ip addresses.<\/li>\n
        4. Press ESC when filter configuration is complete<\/li>\n
        5. Select YES to save the filter<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
