CREATING A BLACKBOARD COURSE COPY<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you’d like to generate a course copy from a previous semester, please follow these instructions for the Course Copy Tool.<\/p>\n

Please note, the Course Copy Tool will only show courses that are already created in Blackboard. <\/em><\/p>\n

If you don’t see your intended destination course, please make sure you requested your course to be created in Blackboard: Blackboard course creation instructions<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

STEPS TO CREATE A COURSE COPY<\/strong><\/p>\n

To create a course copy, login to https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/phpbin\/blackboard-course-copy\/<\/a> with your BU email and password.<\/p>\n

This will bring up a list of courses that are assigned to you within Blackboard.<\/p>\n

There is a \u201cSource\u201d<\/strong> list on the left-hand side, and a \u201cDestination\u201d<\/strong> list on the right-hand side (See illustration below<\/em>).<\/p>\n

\"Two<\/p>\n

In \u201cSource\u201d column, select the semester of the course you’d like to copy, find the course and click the radio button to left of its name to select it. (Please note the ‘+’ and ‘-‘ to expand previous semesters.)<\/p>\n

In the “Destination” column, select the destination course you’d like to copy the source contents to by clicking on the radio button next to its name. (See illustration below \u2013 copying a course from Spring 2024 to Summer 1 2024).<\/p>\n

\"Two<\/p>\n

With your \u201cSource\u201d course selected and \u201cDestination\u201d course selected, click the \u201cCopy\u201d button at the top right of the page.<\/p>\n

After clicking the \u201cCopy\u201d button, you will see an alert on the next page that says \u201cSuccess!”<\/p>\n

You will also receive a Course Copy Confirmation email like the message below.<\/p>\n

* Copies may not be done from across views,\u00a0 i.e. Original to Ultra. Please contact us at edtechplatforms@bu.edu for assistance with converting your course to Ultra.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

COURSE SYMBOL KEY<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

If a check mark <\/strong>symbol is next to the course, that means the course has already been copied.<\/p>\n

If an hourglass<\/strong> symbol is next to the course, that means the copy has been initiated but is not complete.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
