Office 365 email has filters in place to protect users from spam and malicious email like phishing scams.<\/p>\n

Messages caught by the filters are placed in quarantine for your protection. You will receive a daily quarantine report of any messages in quarantine. Any legitimate mail caught by mistake can be released directly from this message or from the quarantine portal<\/strong><\/a>. Additionally, senders can be added to the Safe Senders list to prevent being marked as Spam in the future.<\/p>\n

Mail left in quarantine will automatically be deleted\u00a0after 15 days.<\/p>\n

Releasing Mail<\/h3>\n

Quarantined email that has been determined to be Spam can be manually released in the below two ways. Mail that has been determined to be Phishing or Malware will need to be reviewed by a member of IS&T before being released. In these cases, please use the Request Release<\/strong> button to initiate that process.<\/p>\n

From the Daily Quarantine report:<\/h4>\n

If you receive mail that has been placed in quarantine you’ll receive a message like that shown in the image below. The following options will be available to you by clicking the respective links in the message or you can choose to do nothing.<\/p>\n
