A new box with <strong>Your login<\/strong>, will appear.\u00a0 Enter your full <strong>BU email address<\/strong> again.<\/li>\n<li>Use <strong>Configure manually <\/strong>on the Thunderbird client to open server settings. You will be prompted to enter your server settings.<\/li>\n<p><strong>Incoming Server<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Incoming Server<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Protocol:\u00a0<\/strong> IMAP<\/li>\n<li><strong>Server\/Host Name: <\/strong>outlook.office365.com<\/li>\n<li><strong>Port:<\/strong> 993.<\/li>\n<li><em>Leave the remaining information as is &#8211; for now.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Outgoing Server<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hostname may have a default value. <strong>Clear this field<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Client on <strong>Advance config<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A pop-up will appear asking to confirm that you wish to proceed to advanced configuration; click <strong>OK<\/strong>. This step is needed because the Authentication Method needed (OAuth2) is not available in the manual configuration server settings drop-down menu.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Connection Security:<\/strong>SSL\/TLS<\/li>\n<li><strong>Authentication Method:<\/strong> OAuth2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/tech\/files\/2022\/12\/Pasted-image.png\" alt=\"Server Settings\" width=\"591\" height=\"309\" class=\"size-full wp-image-142966 alignnone\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<li>These settings should automatically be saved<\/li>\n<li>Close <strong>Tools\/Preferences<\/strong> and go back to the inbox tab\/window.<\/li>\n<li>Click on Inbox underneath the BU account. After a second of loading, the BU ADFS sign-in page will load in a mini-browser\/kiosk window. BU email address is pre-filled. Enter Kerberos password and click <strong>Sign in<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>You will get a Duo prompt.\u00a0Authenticate through Duo as you normally would. You do not need to check the Remember me for 30 days because the mail app will remember your account information.<\/li>\n<li>If you are asked to remain signed in, select <strong>No<\/strong> as the app will remember your account information\/stay signed in.<\/li>\n<li>There may then be another prompt for &#8220;Permissions requested&#8221; Thunderbird would like to: follow a list of access items. Click <strong>Accept to proceed<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The mini-browser window will close.
