\nHow to fix white Screen error when using 2 factor Shibboleth VPN<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are currently 3 remediations for this error.<\/p>\n

1) Add the Shibboleth sites to \u201cTrusted Sites\u201d in Internet Options<\/p>\n

2) Remove bu.edu \u201cCompatibility View settings\u201d in Internet Explorer<\/p>\n

3) Check with CTS or IT Partner if they have set a Group Policy set for \u201cWindows Components\/Internet Explorer\/Compatibility View set to Disabled. This could be set to either a user or a computer policy.<\/p>\n

Please test and change the setting pictured below to \u201cEnabled.\u201d<\/p>\n

To correct this error you need to add the following sites into trusted sites in \u201cInternet Options<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

Click on the start button and type \u201cInternet Options\u201d and select the application<\/p>\n

Select the \u201cSecurity\u201d tab then click on \u201cTrusted sites\u201d then click on the button for \u201cSites\u201d<\/p>\n

Add the sites to one at a time by typing in the full web address including https:\/\/ and then clicking add<\/p>\n

***Please note if client is using DEV they will need to add the DEV version of Shibboleth.<\/p>\n

Please also verify that the \u201cCompatibility View settings\u201d do not have BU.edu added.<\/p>\n

To check this open Internet Explore and click the gear to bring up the following drop down menu and select \u201cCompatibility View settings\u201d<\/p>\n

Remove bu.edu and uncheck the two check boxes \u201cDisplay intranet sites in Compatibility View\u201d and \u201cUse Microsoft compatibility lists\u201d<\/p>\n

Cause of this issue is having *.bu.edu in the \u201cLocal Intranet\u201d tab.\u00a0 This is necessary for some websites at the University and it is not recommended to be removed.<\/p>\n
