Zoom&#8217;s security features, when combined with careful planning, can help you avoid unwanted participants or disruptions. This section provides considerations, features, and guides to help keep your meetings secure with minimal impact on your attendees.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure you have the latest set of security features, please update your Zoom application. For assistance, please <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/contact\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">contact us<\/a>.<br \/>\n<a name=\"questions\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h1>Guiding Questions<\/h1>\n<p>Before scheduling your meeting, ask yourself a few helpful questions:<\/p>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">How sensitive will the meeting's content be?<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\">Consider what will be discussed in your meeting and who will be discussing it. The more sensitive the content, the more important it will be to control access to the meeting using features like waiting rooms.<br \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Who is your intended audience?<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\">Consider who will be joining your meeting. Will the participants only be members of the BU community? If so, consider requiring authentication.<\/p>\n<p>If your event is public, ask yourself questions like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Does everyone need to be able to join the meeting?\n<ul>\n<li>Consider only inviting your hosts and panelists to the meeting. However, consider who should receive an invite to your meeting. This is especially important for public events.<\/p>\n<p>The more your invite is shared, the greater the chances of your meeting being disrupted.
