To install and use Kaltura Capture, use the following steps and tutorials:<\/p>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><h3 class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">Install the Recording Client<\/h3><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Log in <\/strong>to Blackboard at <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.bu.edu\">learn.bu.edu<\/a> and select <strong>MyMedia<\/strong> from the <strong>Tools <\/strong>area.<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/tech\/files\/2021\/08\/Screen-Shot-2021-08-20-at-3.03.42-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/tech\/files\/2021\/08\/Screen-Shot-2021-08-20-at-3.03.42-PM.png\" alt=\"Accessing MyMedia from Blackboard Learn\" width=\"372\" height=\"427\" class=\"wp-image-136766 alignnone\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>When the My Media page loads, click the <strong>Add New<\/strong> button and select <strong>Kaltura Capture<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/tech\/files\/2020\/04\/addnew.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"276\" height=\"143\" \/><\/li>\n<li>A screen will load which allows you to download the recording client for Windows or Mac.\u00a0<strong>Download <\/strong>and <strong>open\/run <\/strong>the installation file that you need for your system.<\/li>\n<li>When the install completes, you will see a shortcut appear on your desktop, but the client still needs\u00a0to be configured. <strong>Repeat <\/strong><strong>step 2<\/strong> by going back to your My Media list and again\u00a0select <strong>Add New &gt;&gt; Kaltura Capture<\/strong>, but rather than downloading the installation file, wait a moment for the client to configure and launch automatically. You will see a Kaltura Capture icon loading icon appear and the recording controls will appear when configuration is complete.\n<p><div id=\"attachment127639\" style=\"width: 176px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment127639\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/tech\/files\/2020\/04\/LoadingIcon.png\" alt=\"Kaltura Capture Loading Icon\" width=\"166\" height=\"161\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment127639\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Loading Icon<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div id=\"attachment127640\" style=\"width: 571px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment127640\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/tech\/files\/2020\/04\/RecordingControls.png\" alt=\"Kaltura Capture Recording Controls\" width=\"561\" height=\"123\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment127640\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Recording Controls<\/p><\/div><\/li>\n<li>You can select multiple combinations of screen, webcam, and microphone using the source buttons\u00a0on the recording controls. Clicking on the Screen, Camera, or Audio icons will enable or disable the sources. Active sources will appear in blue and if you have multiple inputs to select from for a given source, those can be selected from on the drop-downs beneath each the source buttons.<\/li>\n<li>When you have selected your sources, click the<strong> red record button<\/strong>. A countdown timer will display and the recording will start after the countdown. A timer will show the elapsed time of the recording on the controls. <img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/tech\/files\/2020\/04\/recordingtimer.png\" alt=\"Kaltura Capture Recording Timer\" width=\"311\" height=\"73\" \/><\/li>\n<li>When finished, click the <strong>stop<\/strong> button and confirm that you do want to stop.<\/li>\n<li>A screen will load where you can preview the recording and enter a name, description, etc. for the video. Click the <strong>Save &amp; Upload<\/strong> button when complete.<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/tech\/files\/2020\/04\/saveupload.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/tech\/files\/2020\/04\/saveupload-636x468.png\" alt=\"Save and Upload\" width=\"317\" height=\"233\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>The recording will then begin to upload and will appear in your local library.
