Select the<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong><span class=\"interface\">Calendar<\/span> option<\/strong> from the course&#8217;s navigation bar.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"\/tech\/files\/2025\/05\/Ultra_calendar.png\" alt=\"Screenshot of the Calendar option from the top navigation menu in a course.\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-157582\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The course view of the calendar displays due dates, the course schedule, office hours, and course-specific meetings and events. When you create content with a due date, it appears automatically in the calendar.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/tech\/files\/2025\/05\/Ultra_calendar-full-636x327.png\" alt=\"Full-size view of the Calendar screen in a course.\" width=\"636\" height=\"327\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-157583\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/files\/2025\/05\/Ultra_calendar-full-636x327.png 636w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/files\/2025\/05\/Ultra_calendar-full-1024x527.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/files\/2025\/05\/Ultra_calendar-full-768x395.png 768w, https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/files\/2025\/05\/Ultra_calendar-full.png 1069w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 636px) 100vw, 636px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To add a course schedule in Blackboard Ultra:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span>Select <\/span><strong><span class=\"emphasize\">Add course schedule<\/span><\/strong><span> under <\/span><strong><span class=\"emphasize\">Details &amp; Actions<\/span><\/strong><span> on the course&#8217;s Content page<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Or by going to the course&#8217;s <strong>Calendar<\/strong> page, selecting the <\/span><span class=\"emphasize\"><strong>New Event<\/strong> button, t<\/span><span>hen <\/span><strong><span class=\"emphasize\">Add course schedule<\/span><\/strong><span> from the dropdown menu. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span>The course schedule now appears beneath <\/span><strong><span class=\"emphasize\">Details &amp; Actions<\/span><\/strong><span> on the Content pages of everyone enrolled in the course.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>All events you create within a specific course roll up into the global calendar. You can switch over to the big picture by accessing your global calendar from the base navigation page.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select<span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"interface\">Day<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span>or<span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"interface\">Month<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span>to zoom in on one day&#8217;s tasks or plan for the weeks ahead.<\/li>\n<li>Select<span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"interface\">Due Dates<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span>to focus only on your upcoming deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Select the<span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"interface\">Calendar Settings<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span>icon in the upper-right corner to choose the calendars you want to see.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Sharing with external calendars<\/h3>\n<p>You can share your Blackboard Learn calendar with external services so course events appear with other events.<\/p>\n<p class=\"note\">You can&#8217;t share calendars for individual courses. When you share your calendar, events for all of your courses appear.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Select<span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"interface\">Calendar<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span>in the <strong>base navigation menu (not within a course).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select the<span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"interface\">Calendar Settings<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span>icon.<\/li>\n<li>Open the menu next to<span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"interface\">Calendar Settings<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span>heading.<\/li>\n<li>Select<span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"interface\">Share Calendar<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>In the window, copy the calendar link. Share the URL only with trusted sources.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>When you connect your Blackboard Learn calendar to an external calendar, all course events appear one year in the past and into the future.<\/p>\n<div data-embed-button=\"media_browser\" data-entity-embed-display=\"view_mode:media.embedded\" data-entity-type=\"media\" data-entity-uuid=\"4eebe278-2caf-42bf-a85f-70478a6b8b50\" data-langcode=\"en\" class=\"embedded-entity\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"internal default field field--name-image field--type-image field--label-hidden field__item\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/help.blackboard.com\/sites\/default\/files\/images\/2019-06\/ultra_share_calendar.png\" width=\"788\" height=\"428\" alt=\"\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3>Add calendar to iCal<\/h3>\n<p>To share your Blackboard Learn calendar with iCal, you&#8217;ll add it as a calendar subscription.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open iCal on your Mac.<\/li>\n<li>Go to<span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"interface\">File &gt; New Calendar Subscription<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>Paste the Blackboard Learn calendar link and select<span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"interface\">Subscribe.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Enter the calendar&#8217;s name and adjust other settings. In the<span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"interface\">Location<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span>field, select<span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"interface\">iCloud<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span>if you want the calendar to appear on your other authenticated Apple devices such as iPhone or iPad.<\/li>\n<li>Select<span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"interface\">OK<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span>to finish set up.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Add calendar to Google calendar<\/h3>\n<p>Share your Blackboard Learn calendar with Google calendar to view all events in one place.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open your Google calendar on a computer.<\/li>\n<li>Next to<span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"interface\">Add calendar<\/span>, point to<span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"interface\">Add other calendars<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span>and select<span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"interface\">From URL<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span>in the menu.<\/li>\n<li>Paste the Blackboard Learn calendar link and select<span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"interface\">Add calendar<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span>to finish set up.<\/li>\n<li>Open the calendar&#8217;s settings to rename it and adjust sharing and notification settings.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From the Calendar, you can see all your upcoming due dates and meetings across your courses\u2014all in one place.
