The University maintains several directories as part of this service, including the BU Directory (also known as the Online Directory, which is available at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/directory\/\">www.bu.edu\/directory<\/a>) and a Microsoft Active Directory.<\/p>\n<h2>Benefits<\/h2>\n<p>Directory services facilitate communication by providing quick and easy access to contact information, such as telephone numbers and email and physical addresses, for people and groups affiliated with the University. In addition, they provide a common system for the organization and administration of computing technology resources, such as computers, printers, and scanners.
