This profile information is used throughout the university to support decision-making, as well as to highlight the accomplishments of Boston University\u2019s professors and researchers.<\/p>\n<p>My CV is integrated with other institutional systems in a way that both pulls from institutional data sources as well as pushes profile information to systems requiring profile related artifacts.<\/p>\n<h2>Benefits<\/h2>\n<p><span>My CV provides a central repository for faculty profile information that can be leveraged by departments and\/or schools\/colleges. It provides an easy to use interface to allow faculty to maintain all of their profile information, integrating with other systems such as SAP HCM (for employee and faculty data), Kuali Research (for grant data) and Registrar (for course data) to leverage institutional data sources to help populate a faculty\u2019s profile within the system. Faculty will be able to supplement this information with their own information to complete their profile.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Key Features<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify publications for faculty from external sources (such as PubMed, SSRN, CrossRef, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>A tool for faculty to quickly export their CV and Biosketch (pre-formatted).<\/li>\n<li>Information from BU information sources are pre-populated in the system to minimize rekeying of data.<\/li>\n<li>A mechanism for schools\/colleges to easily export data on their faculty.<\/li>\n<li>Ability for delegates to easily maintain the faculty\u2019s profile on their behalf.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the data gathering process for Program Review.<\/li>\n<li>The system will help facilitate the deposit of publications to OpenBU in support of BU\u2019s Open Access Policy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"bu_collapsible_container \" aria-live=\"polite\" data-customize-animation=\"false\"><p class=\"bu_collapsible\" aria-expanded=\"false\"tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">ORCID Integration (Open Researcher &amp; Contributor ID)<\/p><div class=\"bu_collapsible_section\" style=\"display: none;\"><br \/>\nMy CV integrates publications with ORCID, Open Researcher &amp; Contributor ID. ORCID is a global, not-for-profit organization that provides a registry of unique researcher identifiers and links research activities to these identifiers (ORCID iDs).<\/p>\n<p>As a researcher, you create and own a unique ORCID iD which can be used to associate scholarly activities such as grants, publications, teaching and professional activities to your id. Once your scholarly activities are associated to your ORCID iD, they are distinguished from other researchers with similar names.<\/p>\n<p>Boston University Research has an Open Research and Contributor ID Project site to assist with initiating your ORCID record creation or reporting an existing ORCID. These changes windows will be limited to a 2 hour period between the hours of 12 \u2013 9 AM.
