BUworks recognizes the convenience that accessing online information via a phone or tablet provides to staff, faculty, and student employees. We also recognize that your experience while accessing your information on-line, on your device of choice matters. Therefore, we began investigating how to make the most commonly used applications on BUworks Central Portal more accessible and easier to use. After numerous pilots, on November 3, 2016 BUworks, in cooperation with several BU offices, introduced MyBUworks.

What is MyBUworks?
MyBUworks is a new user interface for BUworks that offers a collection of applications with a simple and easy to use design that works seamlessly across multiple devices, including smartphones and tablets. This is a part of SAP’s latest platform for delivering an improved user experience, using modern design principles across all functions, tasks and devices.

The currently released applications, My Paystubs, My Leave Requests and Approve Leave Request will enable you to view your paystub, request time off, and for managers to approve time off requests using any device, whether it is a Smartphone, Tablet or Desktop. More functions will be coming to MyBUworks in 2017.

What does this mean for BUworks Central Portal? Do I have to go to MyBUworks to review my pay statement and BUworks Central Portal to change my bank details?
MyBUworks is offered in addition to the tools already available through BUworks Central Portal. If you choose to, you may continue to submit a leave request, approve a leave request, or review your pay statement on BUworks Central Portal.

Do I need another login to access MyBUworks? Is it secure?
MyBUworks uses the same security methods as BUworks Central Portal. In order to use MyBUworks, you do not need to be connected to the BU VPN, but you do need an internet connection. You will have to use your BU login and DUO to access MyBUworks.

What’s next for MyBUworks?
In the upcoming months, we plan to launch additional applications including but not limited to; My Benefits and Approve Shopping Cart. My Benefits will allow staff and faculty to view a quick overview of their benefit plans, and Approve Shopping Cart will allow those authorized to approve pending shopping carts using their desktop or mobile device.
