Description of Impact

Between approximately 2 pm and 4 pm today (7/23/21), email delivery to all BU addresses was delayed. Delivery delays during this time ranged from 20-55 minutes.

Incident Description and Resolution

IS&T teams have resolved the incident.

Additional Information

IS&T teams have identified a large legitimate delivery that had saturated mail delivery; there will be an evaluation of how to minimize the impact of this delivery in the future.

Description of Impact

We are currently experiencing delayed delivery of email messages, with some messages being delayed up to an hour.

Current Status

IS&T teams have identified a large legitimate delivery that has saturated mail delivery. Delivery times are now beginning to improve.

Additional Information

This impacts both Faculty/Staff addresses on Office365 and student addresses using BU Google mail.
