Many landmarks are sprinkled in this area and quite a number of internships take place in the CBD. Nightlife in The CBD revolves around high-end restaurants and backpacker bars with the majority of locals heading out to their respective suburbs on the weekends. During the day, the CBD hosts various shopping areas from Pitt Street Mall to the Queen Victoria Building (QVB). Likewise, the city hosts Sydney\u2019s larger art and museum institutions. Plus, no visit to the city is complete without strolling through Hyde Park or the Botanical Gardens.<\/p>\n<h3>Highlights:<\/h3>\n<h5>The Sydney Tower<\/h5>\n<p>The Sydney Tower is a beacon in Sydney and has two revolving restaurants at the top with extraordinary views. It also has a attraction known as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sydneytowereye.com.au\/tickets-passes\/tickets\/skywalk\/\">Skywalk <\/a>for those who are not afraid of heights.<\/p>\n<h5>Hyde Park<\/h5>\n<p>This stretch of grass between Elizabeth Street and College Street in the CBD is a manicured refuge from the city\u2019s urban jungle. The Northern half has a large fountain and the Southern half of Hyde Park has a War Memorial. Split in half by William Street, Hyde Park is always buzzing with workers on their lunch break or a festival on the weekend.<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"font-size: 11px;\">Royal Botanic Gardens<\/span><\/h5>\n<p>The Royal Botanic Gardens focuses on native and new plants in Australia and has a herbarium and glass pyramid in the centre. Mrs. Macquarie\u2019s chair, created for Governor Macquarie\u2019s wife, offers one of the best photo opportunities on the harbour. It\u2019s a prime spot for a wedding or a romantic picnic and cuddling couples dot the landscape.
