In collaboration with Facilities Management & Operations, BU Sustainability is excited to share a new tool on our Data Dashboard. A new detailed energy & water storyboard is now available to view and engage with, showcasing building-by-building data related to emissions, electricity consumption, and water use.
We strive to be transparent about the university’s consumption and recognize that sharing this information with the wider community offers a unique opportunity to support this goal. You cannot manage what you don’t measure.
The data presented in the dashboard offers a visualization of BU’s overall consumption along with several chapters that show more granular data at a campus level and among various building types. We invite BU faculty, students, and researchers to utilize this data and contribute new knowledge, whether through coursework, independent research, or broader analysis of the university’s resource use.
Those interested in a more detailed or specific view can request a dataset through the Data Request Form, located in the final chapter of the website’s storyboard.
