A number of exciting Boston University programs exist in addition to Summer Term academic courses. During the summer months, these opportunities include everything from dance and recreation to intensive English language instruction to professional career education, programs in food and wine, youth programs, and study abroad. The Fitness & Recreation Center (FitRec) and the Department of Physical Education, Recreation & Dance offer a wide variety of summer recreational opportunities for all ages, with programs in aquatics, climbing, court sports, dance, emergency medical services, fitness, Pilates, sailing, and yoga. One-on-one options include personal training, tennis lessons, aerial dance, dance technique, and private Pilates sessions. Programs for children\u2014including the day camp, Camp Terrier<\/a>\u2014and classes in dance, gymnastics, sports, swimming, and climbing are available. Early registration is encouraged. High school students also have the opportunity to join CELOP’s Gateway to the American University program, which is designed for students interested in applying to an American college or university.<\/p>\n Throughout the summer, CELOP students take advantage of all that Boston has to offer by joining activities on campus and around the city, virtually and in person\u2014including cultural events, guest speaker lectures, workshops, and field trips.
