I started volunteering with the Student Food Rescue program during my freshman year and really enjoyed being part of it. Through those weekly food rescue runs, I saw firsthand the level of food insecurity in the Boston community and the impact the program has on addressing it. That experience motivated me to become a Program Manager so I could take on a larger role in coordinating volunteers, supporting our community partners, and helping the program reach even more people.<\/span><\/p>\n Student Food Rescue Program Manager Major in Biology (spec. \n\n\n\n\nOne of the best things about our community service programs is that it gives you the opportunity to make a real impact while also getting to know Boston beyond campus. It\u2019s easy to stay in the BU bubble, but through these programs you\u2019ll explore different neighborhoods, connect with local organizations, and see how you can support the community.
