Fall Semester Late Fee Schedule
Most Students
If you are a new undergraduate student, or a continuing student, and not enrolled in Metropolitan College, your payment deadline is August 7, 2025, for the Fall 2025 semester.
Students assigned to on-campus University housing must make payment and settle their student accounts before they will be allowed to pick up their residence keys, move into their assigned residence, or be allowed access into on-campus residences.

New Graduate Students and Metropolitan College On-Campus Students
If this is your first semester as a graduate student at Boston University or if you are a Metropolitan College (MET) student and not enrolled in Distance Education courses, your payment deadline is September 15, 2025, for the Fall 2025 semester.
Please note: Late payment fees do not begin to accrue for new graduate students or MET students until September 16, 2025. However, students assigned to on-campus University housing must make payment and settle their student accounts before they will be allowed to pick up their residence keys, move into their assigned residence, or be allowed access into on-campus residences.

Distance Education (Online) Students
If you are enrolled in online courses, your payment deadlines are listed. Payments must be received by close of business (5 p.m. EDT) on the day of the deadline. Late fees are charged separately for each session, according to the schedule below.
