<\/a><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n Wednesday, September 28, 2022<\/p>\n 1:00 pm \u2013 2:00 pm<\/p>\n Postponed from last April, our September Library Conversations event will focus on the scholarly work of Dr. Rebecca Copeland<\/strong>. Dr. Copeland is Assistant Professor of Theology at the School of Theology<\/strong> and her work focuses on theology, ethics, and the intersection of religion and ecology.\u00a0 Her research and teaching interests revolve around the ways that classical Christian doctrines can be reconstructed in response to what we learn about the world through environmental studies, as well as how such doctrines can influence environmental activism.<\/p>\n Our conversation with Dr. Copeland will be centered on her article “Ecomimetic Interpretation: Ascertainment, Identification, and Dialogue in Matthew 6:25\u201334<\/a>” published in the journal Biblical Interpretation<\/em> and on chapter 3<\/a> of her book, Created Being: Expanding Creedal Christianity.<\/em><\/p>\n <\/p>\n About the series: <\/strong>The School of Theology Library is proud to sponsor Library Conversations: Research and Scholarship at the School of Theology.\u00a0 Each conversation is focused on the scholarly work of a faculty member, doctoral student, or other member of the Boston University School of Theology community.\u00a0 The library provides an article or book chapter written by the author as the focus for the conversation.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/h2>\n
