The School of Theology Library is committed to providing equal access to required print or electronic readings on a course reserve list for each course (https://library.bu.edu/sth/reserves). Reserves are an important tool for equity in higher education; for example, if enrolled students are unable to purchase expensive materials needed for a class, reserves allow students the opportunity to still complete needed assignments.
Please see our Course Reserves Policies page to find more information about deadlines, reserves policies, electronic reserves, and linking your course reserves into Blackboard.
Course guides are not course reserves; they are carefully curated subject guides designed to help students research papers and assignments related to the topics covered in a specific course. You will find a link to your course’s guide on the course reserves page for that course, but the library has also included a list of course guides for all STH courses here.
Request In-Class Library Instruction
In addition to our regular Library Essentials Workshops and the Advanced Theological Research Series, our librarians are also able to create and teach a library research session tailored to your own course’s assignments. Learn more and request an In-Class Library instruction session here.
Borrow A/V Supplies
The STH Library circulation desk has a small number of A/V supplies for loan, including a limited number of projector cables (and Mac adaptors), external CD/DVD drives, and podcasting microphones.
Reserve Library Spaces
The STH Library Conference Room (202A) and Instruction Room (209) can both be requested for classroom usage through 25Live, when not in use by other courses, library workshops, staff meetings, and events. Please visit 25Live to see the details about each space.
