The role is flexible, allowing both ministers to negotiate responsibilities based on their strengths and interests over time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Primary Focus (70% of Time):<\/span><br \/>\n<span>The Associate Minister will lead the development and implementation of faith-building and fellowship programs, selecting one or two focus areas from the following:<\/span><br \/>\n<span>&#8211; Programming for adults in mid\/later life<\/span><br \/>\n<span>&#8211; Programming for young adults<\/span><br \/>\n<span>&#8211; Programming for children, youth, and families<\/span><br \/>\n<span>&#8211; Community missions, outreach, and engagement<\/span><br \/>\n<span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Secondary Focus (30% of Time):<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Responsibilities include:<\/span><br \/>\n<span>&#8211; Collaborating with the Senior Minister to create and lead at least six worship services annually.<\/span><br \/>\n<span>&#8211; Coordinating weekly worship services.<\/span><br \/>\n<span>&#8211; Engaging in various pastoral duties (teaching, counseling, visitation, etc.).<\/span><br \/>\n<span>&#8211; Planning intergenerational events and programs.<\/span><br \/>\n<span>&#8211; Assisting with special services during significant church seasons.<\/span><br \/>\n<span>&#8211; Providing support during the Senior Minister&#8217;s absence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Other Responsibilities:<\/span><br \/>\n<span>&#8211; Attend monthly staff meetings.<\/span><br \/>\n<span>&#8211; Uphold the FCCV Safe Church Policy.<\/span><br \/>\n<span>&#8211; Engage in additional church life activities as opportunities arise.<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Note: This role does not involve sabbatical coverage for the Senior Minister or management of part-time staff.<\/span><br \/>\n<span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Candidate Profile:<\/span><br \/>\n<span>Ideal candidates will be pursuing or hold a Master of Divinity, be ordained or in discernment, and possess qualities like goal orientation, innovation, confidence, and a good sense of humor.
