The Evangelical Immigration Table \u2014 a collective of religious leaders calling for bipartisan immigration solutions \u2014 also produces a range of resources to prompt Christians to think more biblically about immigration.\u00a0<\/span>Among them<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>are prepared sermon outlines, helpful quotes, and examples of teaching related to immigration to help preachers \u201ccraft a biblically-faithful message that reflects God\u2019s heart for immigrants.\u201d<\/p>\n

The website features examples of immigration-related sermons, including messages by\u00a0<\/span>Jenny Yang at Wheaton College<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>in 2019,\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/a>Ann Voskamp at Moody Bible Institute<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>in 2020, and one from Daniel Monta\u00f1ez, theology professor and director of the Migration Crisis Initiative for the Church of God denomination. Monta\u00f1ez\u2019s message, entitled \u201cOn a Theology of Migration<\/a>,\u201d tries to shift talk of \u201clegal or illegal migration\u201d to the biblical reality of \u201chuman migration, the movement of peoples.\u201d Citing Genesis 1:28 and its imperative for humans to \u201cfill the earth\u201d as the first mention of migration in the Bible, Monta\u00f1ez says, \u201cFor humanity to fill the earth, they must first move.\u201d<\/p>\n
