Andrew Kimble (STH&#8217;19), BUSTH Associate Director for Alumni and Donor Relations, and Director of Online Lifelong Learning.\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span>On March 23, 2023, the Boston University School of Theology with the generous support of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lowellinstitute.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lowell Institute<\/a> was proud to sponsor the bi-annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/sth\/alumni\/alum-events\/annual-lowell-lecture\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lowell Lecture<\/a> in the Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground. The lecture by Dr. Bill Banfield (STH&#8217;88), entitled \u201c&#8230;when artists go to work&#8230;\u201d sought to demonstrate the spiritual dimension of artistic and musical expression. As part of the lecture, Dr. Banfield conducted the Imagine Orchestra, the orchestra in residence at Longy Conservatory of Bard College where Dr. Banfield is senior scholar in residence.
