{"id":29598,"date":"2016-06-02T10:54:54","date_gmt":"2016-06-02T14:54:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/sth\/?p=29598"},"modified":"2016-06-02T10:54:54","modified_gmt":"2016-06-02T14:54:54","slug":"executive-director-new-york-city-ny","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/sth\/executive-director-new-york-city-ny\/","title":{"rendered":"Executive Director, New York, NY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Parity<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Position Description for Executive Director<\/em><br \/>\nParity is a faith-based, LGBTQ-focused organization that creates open and nurturing spaces to:<br \/>\n\u2022Support emerging LGBTQ pastors as they live into their callings.<br \/>\n\u2022Empower LGBTQ and allied young people to integrate their spiritual, gender and sexual identities.<br \/>\n\u2022Proclaim this message of reconciliation from the pulpit, in the media and in other venues.<br \/>\nWe work and pray for reconciliation, within our communities and within ourselves, so that we can create a world where gender and sexual identity are not barriers to living the whole, full lives that we are called to by God.<br \/>\n<strong>Executive Director: Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Executive Director shall be the chief executive officer of the organization, with full management and control of the affairs of the organization, subject to the oversight and authority of the Board, and shall see that all orders and resolutions of the Board are carried out. The Executive Director shall be, ex-officio, a member of the Board and of all committees of the Board, with full voting privileges. The Executive Director shall perform all duties incident to the office of the Executive Director and all such other duties as may from time to time be assigned to the Executive Director by the Board or these by-laws.<br \/>\n<strong>How to Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nThis position is full-time and based in New York City.
