This position begins on or after Sunday, September 13, provided background checks are complete, and continue through Sunday, June 12, 2016, up to four hours per week from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on Sunday mornings.<br \/>\nGeneral Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work under the supervision of the Director of Children&#8217;s Religious Education (DCRE) &amp; with the Nursery Childcare Provider<\/li>\n<li>Assist with childcare in the nursery during two worship services each Sunday, from 8:55-10:15 am &amp; from 10:55 am-12:15 pm<\/li>\n<li>Interact with parents to share information about their child&#8217;s experience in the nursery<\/li>\n<li>Prepare nursery &amp; reset the room for the second service<\/li>\n<li>Help maintain nursery, attendance information &amp; related reporting for each session<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ideally, candidates will match the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Beliefs consistent with Unitarian Universalist principles and values<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Experience\/Strengths:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mature, responsible and dependable young adult or adult (must be 18 or older)<\/li>\n<li>Enjoys and relates well with young children<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative, friendly nature, sense of humor, likes to play<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to work closely with Nursery staff and Director of Children\u2019s Religious Education<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience or working familiarity with the values, principles, and practices of the Unitarian Universalism a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Specific Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work schedule is Sundays 8:30 a.m. \u2013 12:30 p.m. Sept. 13, 2015 \u2013 June 12, 2016<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to work every Sunday during the church year except December 27, 2015<\/li>\n<li>CORI and SORI background checks are required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Compensation: $9.00 per hour for 4 hours per week worked<br \/>\nReports to: Director of Children\u2019s Religious Education<br \/>\nInterested applicants should send a resume to:<br \/>\nCharlotte Lehmann, M.Div., Acting Director of Children&#8217;s Religious Education<br \/>\nThe First Church in Belmont, Unitarian Universalist<br \/>\n617-484-1054; clehmann@uubelmont.org<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nursery Assistant Position Description The First Church in Belmont, a Unitarian Universalist congregation, seeks to hire a paid nursery assistant.
