\nReporting to the Director of Philosophy & Theology, the Program Associate will play a vital role in improving the efficiency and expanding the research capacity of the Philosophy & Theology area.\u00a0 The Program Associate will assist in the full life cycle of the grant-making process and provide administrative support to the department.
\n\u00a0Primary Areas of Responsibility<\/b>
\n\u00d7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assist with\u00a0all aspects of the proposal intake and\u00a0proposal review process, from submission through grant award, including preparing documents for\u00a0all Proposal Review meetings.
\n\u00d7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Review Online Funding Inquiries and invited Full Proposals and track grantee progress.
\n\u00d7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Track\u00a0grantee documents and make recommendations\u00a0to the Director and Program Officer on scheduled payments.
\n\u00d7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assist the Program Officer in reviewing grantee-submitted reports.
\n\u00d7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Oversee all aspects of the External Review process\u00a0for proposals submitted with the Program Associate’s\u00a0Funding Area.
\n\u00d7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Respond to inquiries\u00a0from Applicants, Project Leaders, and Grantees.
\n\u00d7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support all general office administrative duties related to the Funding Area, including departmental correspondence, budgets, files, meetings and logistics.
\n\u00d7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support all aspects of the department\u2019s internally developed funding initiatives.
\nCriteria & Relevant Skills<\/b>
\n\u00d7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bachelor\u2019s Degree required.
\n\u00d7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Some undergraduate coursework in philosophy and\/or theology desirable but not required<\/b>
\n\u00d7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Some competence in Spanish, Portuguese, or Mandarin is desirable but not required.<\/b>
\n\u00d7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
\n\u00d7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Professional experience in a foundation or academic setting preferred.
\n\u00d7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Skilled oral and written communicator able to work with professionals across internal departments and communicate with external scholars.
\n\u00d7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strong attention to detail.
\n\u00d7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to take initiative for new projects and work independently.
