\nBasic Purpose:<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>The project manager is responsible for designing, launching, leading and completing small to midscale programs under the initiative of United Methodist Communications known as Information Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D).)The ICT4D project manager will work under the supervision of the Director of the ICT4D Initiative. This initiative seeks to utilize communications technologies to empower individuals and communities, in partnership with local United Methodist leaders, local churches and related entities. The initiative addresses pressing problems, which can be affected positively by communications technologies in under-served communities. The technologies that are introduced are appropriate, affordable, and sustainable to the local context. The ICT4D staff also provide online and face-to-face training for volunteers to work in ICT4D initiatives.
