Rev. James McCloy, 92 of Rockport, passed away on Thursday, August 6. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late James and Grace (Combe) McCloy and beloved husband of the late June (Reposa) McCloy. He was predeceased by a son, Glenn James McCloy, who passed in 1993.

James is survived by daughter, Shelley McCloy Vassallo and her husband, Richard of Rockport; son, Andrew McCloy of Rockport; sister, Elizabeth McCloy Longmoore; six grandchildren, Andrew Vassallo, Dillon Vassallo, James Vassallo, Emma McCloy, Nina McCloy, and Cameron Bloy; and three great-grandchildren, Ari Vassallo, Cole Vassallo, and Emmett Vassallo.

A private funeral service will be held on Friday, August 14, at Locust Grove Cemetery in Gloucester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at danafarber.jimmyfund.org. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester.
