At the heart of the program, a two-semester practicum course combines pedagogy with supervised consulting and integrated group projects with government\/industry partners, centered around a focus on the developing role of statisticians in the world of data science. <\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/stat\/graduate-program-information\/new-information\/masters-in-statistics\/ \" title=\"MA in Statistics\"><strong>Master of Arts Program<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in statistics <span>provides advanced preparation in fundamental statistical theory and methods through a combination of traditional courses and electives in addition to modern topics in computation and data science.
