She is particularly interested in health technology innovations that help address health inequities, stigma and structural oppression. \u201cThere is a dearth of culturally and linguistically competent mental health services for Latinx populations in the US and greater reliance on mobile technology to access the internet,\u201d she explains. \u201cPhone and internet access are no longer just a \u2018convenience\u2019 but a \u2018necessity.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Muroff is the author of <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Group Treatment\u00a0for Hoarding\u00a0Disorder:\u00a0Therapist<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0G<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">uide <\/span><\/i>(Oxford University Press, 2014). Her research on mental health (e.g., hoarding) and substance use disorders has appeared in <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">American Journal of Public Health<\/span><\/i> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Depression and Anxiety<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Her ongoing work on hoarding has resulted in numerous research grants and community resources.\u00a0 More information on hoarding resources<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/ssw\/wp-admin\/post.php?post=74463&amp;action=edit\"> can be found here.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>At BU, Muroff serves on the Strategic Planning Task Force\u2019s Committee on Scholarly Resources and Services\u2014Libraries and as a field instructor for MSW students in collaboration with community partners in housing and mental health services.
