Nandakumar, director of the Global Social Work &amp; Public Health Lab at the Center for Innovation in Social Work and Health (CISWH) at Boston University School of Social Work (BUSSW), and Debbie Stenoien, CISWH research associate, contribute to a co-authored analysis examining the implications of the American First Global Health Strategy.<\/p>\n<p>In the article, <i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Questions for the America First Global Health Strategy<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, <\/span>the authors highlight key considerations <span data-contrast=\"auto\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" lang=\"EN-US\">that should be part of the<\/span> strategy and emphasizes the need for careful planning, monitoring, and safeguards to protect vulnerable populations as countries move toward self-reliance.<\/p>\n<p>Excerpted from, <i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Questions for the America Firsts Global Health Strategy<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, <\/span>by Allyala Nandakumar, Debbie Stenoien (BUSSW\/CISWH), Jennifer Kates (KFF), and Michael Ruffner (independent consultant).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe America First Global Health Strategy calls for a major transformation in how U.S. global health efforts are carried out.
