The collective is committed to strengthening research capacity within social work, advancing research that informs practice and policy, and driving systems change to promote social justice, equity, and inclusion. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Prior to joining BUSSW in 2023, Dean Jones\u00a0was a distinguished professor at the University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work for nearly two decades. She has held multiple national leadership roles in social work and health, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">including as president of the Association of Pediatric Oncology Social Workers and founding board member of the Social Work in Hospice and Palliative Care Network. \u00a0She currently serves as an executive board member of the American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare (AASWSW) and as a steering committee member of the National Coalition for Social Work and Health.
