(Courtesy of Sofia Vargas)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Montero-Murillo and Vargas, who were both <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/ssw\/students-appointed-competitive-cswe-minority-fellowship-program\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">appointed<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> 2024-25 fellows of CSWE\u2019s Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) last fall, joined dozens of bachelor\u2019s, master\u2019s, and doctoral students at CSWE headquarters in Alexandria, Va., for seminars and networking before traveling to Washington, DC, where they met up with CSWE staff on Capitol Hill.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In DC, the group advocated for CSWE priority issues, meeting with representatives from the offices of Sen. Ed Markey, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and Rep.
