Professor Phillipe Copeland Discusses his Social Justice course in a Lightning Talk Series, \u201cTeaching within a Social Justice Framework\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n
Professor Phillipe Copeland<\/a> joins a panel of innovative BU faculty for a lightning talk series, \u201cTeaching within a Social Justice Framework,\u201d hosted by BU\u2019s <\/span>Digital Learning & Innovation and The Center for Teaching & Learning. <\/span>Professor Copeland will discuss his social justice course which studies the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement and its implications. His presentation, \u201cFerguson is Everywhere,\u201d will explore the antiracist movement that emerged from the uprising in Ferguson, Missouri, and give students the opportunity to examine how they want to change the world.<\/span><\/p>\n The Fall 2021 Lightning Talks series from DL&I<\/a> is a fast-paced, peer-driven, and information-rich showcase for four-to-five presenters\u2014each exploring innovations in teaching and technology at BU. It is a reflection and learning forum where BU faculty and invited guests identify areas of challenge and opportunity and share strategies for engaging educational experiences in the in-person environment.
