Similar to the movement to defund the police, long-standing<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/imprintnews.org\/child-welfare-2\/now-is-the-time-for-abolition\/44706\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">concerns about racism and other gross inequities in CPS<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>have erupted into<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/imprintnews.org\/child-welfare-2\/family-power-seeks-abolish-cps-child-welfare\/45141\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">calls to abolish this system<\/a>.
