How can you respond when communicating online seems so visible and permanent?<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-exrw3m evys1bk0\"><a class=\"css-1g7m0tk\" href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/socpro\/advance-article\/doi\/10.1093\/socpro\/spz026\/5539501?guestAccessKey=987cca1c-0232-49a4-bed7-e02c5bdec9e7\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">According to research by Robert Eschmann<\/a>, an assistant professor at Boston University\u2019s School of Social Work, the visibility of microaggressions also means you can have like-minded allies step in to respond with you. \u201cWhen you experience a microaggression when you\u2019re by yourself,\u201d Dr. Eschmann said, \u201cthere is no one else that can validate that experience for you.
