The doctoral program<\/a> at Boston University School of Social Work will undergo a leadership change as Dr. Ellen DeVoe<\/a> departs from her role as Director after five and a half years fostering the program\u2019s success. Beginning July 1, 2019, BUSSW Associate Professor and Chair of Human Behavior Dr. Daniel Miller<\/a> will assume the Director position.<\/span><\/p>\n

Miller, an associate professor and member of the PhD advisory committee, has been continuously involved in the program since its in-house transition, developing and teaching classes while mentoring students<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Miller says, \u201c[I\u2019m] excited about \u00a0the opportunity to take over the leadership of our PhD program. It has made tremendous gains in the past few years, and I look forward to continuing to bolster and grow one of the key programs of our School.\u201d Miller also expressed his gratitude to DeVoe, \u201can excellent steward of the program.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Both DeVoe and Miller will uphold their professorial and research positions at BUSSW throughout the leadership shift, which was announced by Dean Jorge Delva<\/a> in early January.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
