Paula has been a practicing social worker since the mid 90s. Her focus has been mainly in the child welfare field specifically in the areas of adoption/foster care. She has been the director of a few adoption agencies and at present works part- time at Wide Horizons for Children Managing the Expectant/Birth Parent program and has a private practice as a Guardian ad Litem, representing children around custody issues when their parents are divorcing. In addition to Faculty Advising at BU, a role that she gains great satisfaction from, as she loves supporting up and coming social workers, Paula also teaches for NASW the social work licensing test prep course. Paula has been a Faculty Advisor for several years.
