Mengni Amy Yao is a PhD candidate whose research interests focus on health disparities and economic inequalities among vulnerable populations, especially minority women and children. She graduated from Lehigh University with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Women Gender Sexuality Studies. Amy holds an MSW from the University of Pennsylvania where she conducted research on food access and health inequalities in Chester, PA. Having lived in three continents, Amy is passionate about improving maternal and child health outcomes in global contexts.
