Ashley Short Mejia, MSW is the Research Coordinator for the Growing Together Study, a three-year federally funded study of a home-based parenting intervention for women with opioid use disorders and their children (PI: Ruth Paris, Ph.D.). As the Research Coordinator, Ashley organizes and manages the research study, recruits participants, collects data including interviews and videos, developed and manages study databases, liaisons with the study clinician and clinical supervisor for data collection and fidelity, and prepares reports and presentations, among other responsibilities. She received her MSW in macro practice from Boston University School of Social Work with a specialization in Leadership in Communities, Organizations, and Groups and received her BSSW from Ohio State University. She has previous experience working with nonprofit organizations and government agencies, managing public health social work research grants, community-based research on suicide prevention, and direct service working with people experiencing homelessness.
