Lecturer Cristina Brinkerhoff Shares Her Expertise on Panel on Immigrant and Refugee Women’s Health Care

Cristina Brinkerhoff, lecturer at Boston University School of Social Work (BUSSW), will join a panel of experts at a lecture focused on advancing dialogue on critical issues in women’s health. The topic, “Immigrant and Refugee Women’s Health Care: Medicine, Advocacy, and Research,” focuses on how immigration-related challenges shape the health and well-being of migrant and refugee women. Brinkerhoff will be part of a multidisciplinary group of health and service panel with expertise in immigrant’s health and social justice in impacted communities in Massachusetts and local agencies in Worcester that advocate for refugees. Together, they will explore the intersections of health inequities, public policy, and lived experience, offering a timely and nuanced conversation about the barriers facing migrant women and the collaborative approaches needed to improve care and outcomes.

The Katherine Henry Memorial Lecture, held on March 26, is an annual event hosted by College of the Holy Cross.
