Submitting event info for SSW’s newsletters and event calendar

Do you have an upcoming event that you would like to share with BUSSW faculty, staff and/or students? Please send an email to with the all of the following information:

  • Event title
  • Date/Time/Location
  • Your role in the event
  • Why the event is relevant to our BU social work community
  • Event organizer(s)
  • Any additional BUSSW or BU participants
  • Link to registration or contact info to RSVP

Please email us at least four weeks prior to your event. Six weeks advance notice is ideal.

Staff from four SSW departments (MarCom, OCP, OLP, CRC) will review email submissions for inclusion in student newsletters, SSW internal newsletters, and the SSW event calendar.

Important Note: For additional promotion of events (ex. website posts, promotional materials, emails to alumni), please use MarCom’s Project Request form. To submit a story idea for the SSW Newsroom, please submit a request in our Story Ideas form.
