At this time, international travel is not supported.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\nProgram Guidelines:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- Applicants must be<\/strong> enrolled in an on-campus degree granting program at the Boston University School of Public Health (MPH, MS, PhD, or DrPH), be in good academic standing and actively registered (not on leave).<\/li>\n
- A BUSPH faculty member must supervise the research students presenting.<\/li>\n
- Students must be a major contributor to an oral or poster presentation being given at a National Public Health or Scientific conference and must be the one presenting. Funding will be restricted to one student per presentation. For presentations with multiple student presenters, it is recommended that one person be designated as the requester of funds.<\/li>\n
- Students requesting funds from the SCTFP must relinquish support from all other funding sources.<\/strong> When appropriate students should first seek funding from the grant supporting the research.<\/li>\n
- Presentation materials must generally be based on research conducted while the student was registered at the School of Public Health.<\/li>\n
- Funds are reimbursed after<\/strong> the conference has concluded.<\/li>\n
- Funds may be available to cover registration, transportation and lodging.<\/li>\n
- Funds are limited. A committee with representatives from across the School reviews the applications to equitably distribute funds among applicants.<\/li>\n
- Students must affiliate themselves with the Boston University School of Public Health<\/strong> when registering for the conference.<\/li>\n
- If a student does not receive communication about their application, they must inform the committee as soon as possible before the conference dates.<\/li>\n
- All students who are awarded reimbursement funds may be asked to also present their work at School Assembly.<\/li>\n
- Students are eligible for one conference reimbursement per degree program at BUSPH.<\/li>\n
- Applications are due at least two months prior to the conference. Submit the application to Mary Murphy-Phillips<\/a> in Graduate Student Life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Award Money<\/strong><\/p>\nThe GSL Student Conference Travel Fund Program has a maximum award amount of $1,000. You may apply for any amount, up to the maximum level or below.<\/span><\/p>\nAward and Reimbursement Process:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n- After your application is received, you will be notified via email within three weeks regarding the amount that will be reimbursed (if awarded).<\/li>\n
- You must confirm your intention to use the funding by replying to the confirmation email.<\/li>\n
- Keep all original receipts for items you intend to submit for reimbursement.<\/li>\n
- Submit all required documentation and receipts within 21 days of the last day of the conference.<\/li>\n
- Late submissions (after 21 days) will not<\/strong> be funded.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

- A detailed budget proposal including expenses for; airfare, lodging, conference registration, as well as any information you have about other funding sources (confirmed or potential). Such as, department funding, conference scholarship, department award, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n- Applications are due at least two months prior to the conference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
