The BUSPH CPO offers these on a virtual and drop-in basis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In-person reviews<\/strong>: Typically take place in the Career &amp; Practicum Office located in Talbot 2 East during the school year. The BUSPH Calendar will reflect the hours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Virtual reviews<\/strong>: In Word format, email your resume, cover letter, and\/or the link to your LinkedIn page to<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"mailto:sphcareeroffice@bu.edu\">sphcareeroffice@bu.edu<\/a>. Include the job description you tailored your materials to &#8212; also in Word format. Allowing for a 2-3 day turnaround. She advises DrPH (LMP), HSR, MSW\/MPH, and MS Genetic Counseling\/MPH students.<\/p>\n<p>She has more than 25 years of experience in higher education, with expertise in career education, employer engagement, and community partnerships. Her work focuses on expanding access, fostering collaboration, and creating pathways that help students pursue meaningful careers and opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>A first-generation college graduate and daughter of immigrants, Caroline brings a personal commitment to equity, access, and student success. She is passionate about building connections across students, alumni, employers, and community partners.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of work, she enjoys pop culture, travel, and spending time with her family and dog, Willie.<\/p>\n<h3>Joe Anzalone<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Assistant Director, Advising &amp; Relationship Management<\/strong><br \/>\nEmail: <a href=\"mailto:josanz@bu.edu\">josanz@bu.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Joe supports students pursuing careers in monitoring &amp; evaluation, program management, and those with a global health interest. He also supports students seeking practicums particularly in global environs.\u00a0 Joe also works to help the office gather outcome measures for BUSPH graduates, using his Qualtrics and Excel analytic skills.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to 2018, when he joined the Career &amp; Practicum Office, Joe supported international exchange programs for the Department of Global Health, which offered field experiences in Mexico, Kenya, and the Philippines. He also coordinated the Peace Corps\/MPH Program. Before earning his MPH from BU, Joe served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Liberia, as a health volunteer, an experience that shaped his commitment to public health and global service. One of his most unusual jobs was working summers as an on-call firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service in Northern California.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Marie Daniel<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Director of Advising &amp; Employer Engagement<\/strong><br \/>\nEmail: <a href=\"mailto:mariemda@bu.edu\">mariemda@bu.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Marie leads advising and employer engagement initiatives that helps MPH candidates enrolled in Epi\/Bio\/EH and the international student community connect their public health training to meaningful career opportunities. In her role, she collaborates with faculty, employers, industry partners, and colleagues across the school to strengthen workforce pathways and support student success.<\/p>\n<p>Marie brings expertise in career development, employer relations, program management, stakeholder engagement, and data-informed decision-making. She is committed to advancing equitable career outcomes and helping students translate their skills, experiences, and values into impactful professional paths. Her work reflects a strong commitment to inclusive professional communities and to preparing learners for rewarding careers across the public health workforce.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of work, Marie enjoys road and trail running.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Gwenn Knox<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Associate Director, Advising &amp; Relationship Management<\/strong><br \/>\nEmail: <a href=\"mailto:gwenn@bu.edu\">gwenn@bu.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Gwenn supports SPH students exploring careers in healthcare management, consulting, health policy, law, and dual-degree pathways. In her role, she helps students translate their public health experiences into compelling professional stories and develop effective strategies for the job search process. She also fosters connections between students, alumni, employers, and industry partners.<\/p>\n<p>Passionate about connecting people, organizations, and ideas, Gwenn brings over 15 years of experieince in relationship management, communications, and strategic growth. Before joining BUSPH, she worked in advertising, public health research, and the nonprofit world, building partnerships to drive positive change. She is committed to helping people build meaningful relationships that create lasting impact.<\/p>\n<p>Gwenn holds dual master\u2019s degrees in business administration and global public health from Boston University. Outside of work, she can often be found pointing out passing firetrucks alongside her small child.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Justine Lusardi<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Recruiting &amp; Operations Manager<\/strong><br \/>\nEmail: <a href=\"mailto:justined@bu.edu\">justined@bu.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Justine helps connect students with career opportunities while supporting the systems, events, and operations that keep the CPO running smoothly. In this role, she works across employer engagement, internship and practicum opportunities, career events, the newsletter and other student communications, and platforms such as Handshake. If you are looking for a Handshake tutorial, she\u2019s your go-to.<\/p>\n<p>Justine brings more than 25 years of experience across higher education, healthcare, and nonprofit settings. Her background includes managing complex operations, supporting organizational transitions, coordinating events, overseeing budgets and grant funding, and using data to improve programs and processes. She is especially interested in making career resources easier to access, strengthening employer partnerships, and helping students build confidence as they navigate their next steps. Outside of work, she enjoys reading for pleasure and getting creative with crafts and\u00a0 amigurumi.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Maria McCarthy<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Director of Advising &amp; Career Development<\/strong><br \/>\nEmail: <a href=\"mailto:mamcc@bu.edu\">mamcc@bu.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Maria provides academic advising, career strategy, and student support across the Boston University School of Public Health. She works closely with students pursuing the CAPDIE and Health Communication certificates and teaches the required Career PREP course.<\/p>\n<p>Maria brings more than 40 years of experience in higher education, with a background spanning admissions leadership, academic advising, crisis counseling, and career development. A licensed mental health counselor and certified integrated mental health practitioner, she brings a thoughtful and student-centered approach to advising. She holds both her bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s degrees in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. Maria has twin sons who graduated BU class of 2020.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Ryan Wisniewski<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Director of Practicum<\/strong><br \/>\nEmail: <a href=\"mailto:ryanwis@bu.edu\">ryanwis@bu.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ryan leads practicum programming at BUSPH, helping students identify, secure, and make the most of practicum experiences that support their academic and professional goals. He oversees PH976, manages the Generation Health program, and works closely with practicum host organizations.<\/p>\n<p>Ryan is passionate about helping students connect their interests, experiences, and identities to meaningful public health careers. A first-generation college and master\u2019s-level graduate who is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree, he brings a strong commitment to mentorship, student success, and access. He also serves as advisor to the SPH Queer Alliance.
