Less Seen\/Less Heard: Stories from the Margins<\/strong><\/em><\/a> is a podcast brought to you by the Boston University School of Public Health Activist Lab<\/a>. Meet the Host<\/h2>\n

As a critical care and public health nurse at then-Boston City Hospital\/Boston Medical Center in the late \u201880s and \u201890s, Craig Andrade<\/a> (SPH\u201906,\u201911) grew to know his patients well\u2014because he saw them again and again. This experience, coupled with a lifelong desire to empower marginalized communities he called home, propelled him to pursue service in health promotion, health administration, health education, and state government that enabled him to \u201cserve\u201d people at a population level, by tackling structural inequities through changes in systems, policy and practice. Now, Craig is Associate Dean of Practice and Director of the Activist Lab at Boston University\u2019s School of Public Health (SPH) where he serves to catalyze and encourage SPH\u2019s public health practice portfolio locally and globally among all members of the school community, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community partners.<\/p>\n
