entails frequent writing, constructive feedback, and revision; understanding your strengths and limitations; developing strategies for building on your strengths; and adapting your writing style and process to meet the expectations of your readers. At its best, this is a constant learning process, applying lessons learned from the feedback you receive on the paper you just turned in to the one you will write next week, next month, next semester.
