In this role, he is responsible for the conduct of systematic reviews of the comparative effectiveness of high-impact healthcare technologies; the integration of decision analysis and budgetary impact modeling into reviews of clinical evidence, engagement, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders; and the coordination as well as scientific oversight of the broader health technology assessment process. Ollendorf manages a multidisciplinary team of scientists at ICER, and serves as primary liaison with academic clinical epidemiologists and health economists. His 30 years of healthcare experience include work in the hospital, informatics, insurance, managed care, and consulting sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining ICER, he was executive director, health economics and outcomes research, for IMS Health, where he was responsible for the operations of a $20 million franchise as well as the successful integration of a US consulting practice. Ollendorf also has served as vice president of applied research at PharMetrics (now a unit of IMS), where he managed the scientific team conducting a variety of research initiatives using integrated claims data; and as a senior consultant at Policy Analysis Inc. (PAI), where he designed and conducted health-economic, quality-of-life, and retrospective database analyses in a variety of therapeutic areas.<\/p>\n<p>Ollendorf has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed articles in major journals, and was on the editorial board of the <em>Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy<\/em> from 2009 to 2012. He currently serves on the Medicare Evidence Development and Coverage Advisory Committee (MEDCAC), the ISPOR HTA Council Working Group, and the Policy Forum of Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi).
