{"id":96328,"date":"2017-01-04T17:02:04","date_gmt":"2017-01-04T22:02:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/sph\/?p=96328"},"modified":"2021-02-25T16:26:35","modified_gmt":"2021-02-25T21:26:35","slug":"two-professors-join-epidemiology-journal-editorial-board","status":"publish","type":"bu-article","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/sph\/news\/articles\/2017\/two-professors-join-epidemiology-journal-editorial-board\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Professors Join Epidemiology Journal Editorial Board"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-prepress-component-metabar sphnews-prepress-layout-metabar\">\n\t<div class=\"wp-prepress-component-metabar-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"wp-prepress-component-metabar-date\">January 4, 2017<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"wp-prepress-component-metabar-credits\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"wp-prepress-component-metabar-share js-bu-prepress-share-tools\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"icon-twitter\"><span>Twitter<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"icon-facebook\"><span>Facebook<\/span><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"icon-action\"><\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/sph\/profile\/matthew-fox\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/sph\/files\/2017\/01\/Epi-editorial-board-Fox-Weuve-400x241.png\" alt=\"epi-editorial-board-fox-weuve-400x241\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-96400 size-full\" height=\"241\" width=\"400\" \/>Matthew Fox<\/a>, professor of epidemiology and global health, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/sph\/profile\/jennifer-weuve\/\">Jennifer Weuve<\/a>, associate professor of epidemiology, have joined the editorial board of the journal <em><a href=\"http:\/\/journals.lww.com\/epidem\/pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Epidemiology<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The publication is the official, peer-reviewed journal of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iseepi.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/sph\/profile\/kenneth-rothman\/\">Kenneth Rothman<\/a>, professor of epidemiology, is the founding editor of the journal, and alumnus Timothy Lash (\u201999) is the editor-in-chief.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI see it as a real honor to be part of the editorial board of such a prestigious journal,\u201d Fox says. \u201cI look forward to working with my fellow editors to produce a great product.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Weuve says she has long admired the journal, \u201cparticularly for its willingness to promote thoughtful and productive\u2014and sometimes \u2018enthusiastic\u2019\u2014exchanges among epidemiologists.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With an editorial board drawn from institutions around the world, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/journals.lww.com\/epidem\/pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Epidemiology<\/a> <\/em>covers the full spectrum of epidemiologic topics. Journal content ranges from cancer, heart disease, and other chronic illnesses to reproductive, environmental, psychosocial, infectious-disease, and genetic epidemiology.
